Ingredients for vazhakkai bajji

  • 2 Raw banana Peeled and sliced into thin pieces
  • 2 cup gram flour
  • 2 tbsp Rice flour
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp cornflour
  • 1/2 turmeric powder
  • oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tbsp baking powder
  • A pinch of hing

Instructions

How to cook the recipe

  • In a large bowl, add gram flour, cornflour, rice flour, baking powder, pinch of hing, turmeric powder, salt to taste and red chilli powder mix well with water to make a smooth batter of pouring consistency.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Turn heat to medium.
  • Dip the raw banana slice in the batter and deep fry them on medium flame.Fry till they are golden brown.
  • Serve hot with chutney.
