Ingredients

Ingredients for Paruppu Rasam

  • Oil 2 tsp
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2-3 green chilies
  • 1 Onion slices
  • 1 tsp Garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Red chilies
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 cup toordal water boiled or chana dal
  • 1/2 cup Tamarind juice
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves

Instructions

How to cook the recipe

  • Add some oil in a hot pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, green chilies, onion slices, garlic and saute it.
  • Now add salt , red chilies, curry leaves, turmeric, and mix well.
  • After 2 min of cooking add boiled chana dal water and tamarind juice.
  • After 2-3 min of boiling add coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
  • Serve with rice
