Ingredients

Ingredients for Veg Pulao

  • 3 bread cubes
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup Basmati Rice
  • 2 1/2 cups Water
  • 1 medium sized chopped onion
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 chopped potato
  • 5 chopped beans
  • salt to taste
  • 3 Cardamom
  • 3 Cloves
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tbsp ginger&garlic paste
  • 3 green chilli
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1 sliced carrot
  • chopped mints
  • chopped coriander chopped

Instructions

How to cook the recipe

  • Take bread slices cut them into pieces and deep fry them till dark golden brown.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, similarly add bay leaf, cinnamon, clove, and sauté for 30 seconds. After that add onion and sauté until it turns light brown .
  • Add ginger&garlic paste cook this till raw ginger garlic paste flavor is gone.
  • Add green chilli, green peas, beans, potato, carrot, chopped mint, chopped coriander.
  • Stir-fry them for approx 5-7 minutes.
  • Add water once water come to boil add basmati rice mix it, Close the lid and cook over medium flame for 6 whistles. When the whistle is completed turn off the flame.
  • Let it cool at room temperature until pressure inside cooker comes down naturally.
  • Open the lid carefully and fluff the rice with a fork and add fried bread and serve with raitha.
