Ingredients

Ingredients for Methi Pulao

  • 1 cup coriander & Mint Leaves
  • 4 shallot Onion
  • 1 tbsp ginger&garlic paste
  • 2 Green chilli
  • 2 cup Methi leaves
  • 5-6 tbsp oil
  • Basmati rice
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 4 cloves
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 pieces Cinnamon
  • 2 cardamom

Instructions

How to cook the recipe

  • Add ginger&garlic paste, shallot onion, coriander&mint leaves, green chilli to mixi jar grind it in to a fine paste.
  • Heat a cooker & add oil. Once oil is heated add cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, add onion saute it for 2 minutes then add methi leaves.
  • Fry it well so that sour taste will be avoided. Once it is fried add green peas fry well now add tomato. Add salt for taste, turmeric, garam masala & red chilli powder & mix well
  • Reduce the flame to minimum. Now add grinded paste and cook it for 2 minutes. Now add 2 glass of water, add soaked rice mix well.
  • Now close the lid & cook it untill 4 whistle
  • Open the lid once cooker is cool.
  • Methi pulao is ready.
