Ingredients
Ingredients for Aloo bonda
- Oil for frying
For Potato Filling
- 3-4 Boiled Potato
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 chopped Onion
- 3 Green chili
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Coriander leaves
- 1 tsp Oil
- Salt to taste
For Batter
- 1 cup Besan/Gram flour
- 1 tbsp Rice flour
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Water
Instructions
How to cook the recipe
- In a pan, heat 1 tsp oil and add mustard seeds, once they splutter, add chopped onions and green chilies, saute the onions and add turmeric powder and salt to taste.
- Add the boiled and mashed potatoes and coriander leaves.
- Mix well and switch off the stove,let it cool.
- In a bowl add besan/ gram flour, rice flour, salt to taste and turmeric powder, add water and mix it to get a thick batter.
- Now take the aloo masala and roll it into balls.
- Dip the rolled aloo masala balls in the batter.
- Heat oil for deep frying and start frying the aloo bondas.
- Take the bondas out after they have turned into a golden brown color.
- Serve the aloo bondas hot, with some chutney.
